OIL DEBACLE SHOWING OBAMA INEXPERIENCE

Barack Obama granted an interview to “60 Minutes” correspondent Steve Croft shortly after winning a bunch of Super Tuesday primaries in February 2008. obama-corner

“When you sit down and you look at [your] resume,” Croft said to Obama, “there’s no executive experience, and in fact, correct if I’m wrong, the only thing that you’ve actually run was the Harvard Law Review.”

“Well, I’ve run my Senate office, and I’ve run this campaign,” Obama said.

Seven months later, after receiving the Democratic presidential nomination, Obama talked with CNN’s Anderson Cooper. At the time, the news was dominated by Hurricane Gustav, which was headed toward New Orleans and threatening to become a Katrina-like disaster. “Some of your Republican critics have said you don’t have the experience to handle a situation like this,” Cooper said to Obama. “They in fact have said that Governor Palin has more executive experience. …”

“Governor Palin’s town of Wasilla has, I think, 50 employees,” Obama answered. “We have got 2,500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year. You know, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month. So, I think that our ability to manage large systems and to execute, I think, has been made clear over the last couple of years.”

Obama ignored Palin’s experience as governor of Alaska, which was considerably bigger than the Obama campaign. But his point was clear: If you’re worried about my lack of my executive experience, look at my campaign. Running a first-rate campaign, Obama and his supporters argued, showed that Obama could run the federal government, even at its most testing moments. He could set goals, demand accountability, and, perhaps most importantly, bend the sprawling federal bureaucracy to his will.

Fast forward to 2010. The oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico is gushing out of control. The Obama administration is at first slow to see the seriousness of the accident. Then, as the crisis becomes clear, the federal bureaucracy becomes entangled in itself trying to deal with the problem. “At least a dozen federal agencies have taken part in the spill response,” the New York Times reports, “making decision-making slow, conflicted and confused, as they sought to apply numerous federal statutes.”

  • For example, it took the Department of Homeland Security more than a week to classify the spill as an event calling for the highest level of federal action.
  • And when state officials in Louisiana tried over and over to win federal permission to build sand barriers to protect fragile coastal wetlands from the oil, they got nowhere.
  • “For three weeks, as the giant slick crept closer to shore,” the Times reports, “officials from the White House, Coast Guard, Army Corps of Engineers, Fish and Wildlife Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Environmental Protection Agency debated the best approach.
  • “The bureaucracy wasn’t bending to anyone’s will. The direction from the top was not clear.
  • And accountability? So far, the only head that has rolled during the Gulf crisis has been that of Minerals Management Service chief Elizabeth Birnbaum.
  • But during a May 27 news conference, Obama admitted he didn’t even know whether she had resigned or been fired. “I found out about it this morning, so I don’t yet know the circumstances,” the president said. “And [Interior Secretary] Ken Salazar’s been in testimony on the Hill.”
  • Obama’s answer revealed that he hadn’t fired Birnbaum, and he couldn’t reach a member of his Cabinet who was a few blocks down Pennsylvania Avenue.

Given all that, perhaps candidates in future presidential races will think twice before arguing that running their campaign counts as executive experience.

A few days before Obama won the White House, Bill Clinton joined him for a late-night rally in Kissimmee, Fla. Clinton, who became president after 12 years as a governor, told the crowd not to worry about Obama’s lack of executive background. Given the brilliance of Obama’s campaign, Clinton said — and here the former president uncharacteristically mangled his words a bit — a President Obama would be “the chief executor of good intentions as president.”

Chief executor of good intentions? Perhaps that’s what Obama is now. But with oil gushing into the Gulf, that’s just not good enough.

GOV. CHRISTIE COULD GET PISSED RIGHT INTO THE WHITE HOUSE

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s rapid rise up the ranks of conservative heroes is being aided by a YouTube video of him dressing down a reporter who quizzed him about his “confrontational tone” in dealing with state legislators. Mr. Christie tells the reporter: “You should really see me when I’m pissed. . . . When you ask me questions, I’m going to answer them directly, straightly, bluntly and nobody in New Jersey is going to have to wonder where I am on an issue.”YouTube Preview Image

Governor Christie is clearly prospering politically despite $5 million in attack ads being hurled against him by public employee unions furious about his budget cuts and demands for pay freezes. Last month voters in 59% of the state’s school districts followed his recommendation and voted down proposed school budgets that didn’t include “shared sacrifice” by restraining teacher pay and benefits. When one teacher stated she didn’t feel it was fair to restain her pay, Governor Christie told her that she didn’t have to be a teacher, she could do something else…

Recently, the Governor crossed the Hudson River to address the conservative Manhattan Institute about his plan to place on the November ballot a constitutional amendment to cap property tax hikes at no more than 2.5% per year. The Christie plan would also limit state spending growth by a like amount, except for pensions and debt service. Over the last decade, he noted in his speech, municipal spending in New Jersey grew by 69%, and property taxes climbed by 70%. “At some point people’s ability to pay runs out. And ladies and gentleman, we are at that point,” he told his audience. “Things that used to be considered sacred cows, the third rails of politics, no longer are. They’ve been replaced by the issue of affordability.”

Mr. Christie was especially blunt on the malign influence of the New Jersey Education Association — “an absolutely out-of-control union that is used to getting everything it wants.” Without a change of direction, he added, New Jersey is “careening our way toward becoming Greece.”

Many who attended the breakfast came away admiring the feisty governor’s knack for rallying public support against Trenton’s entrenched spending interests. Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, even New York’s Democratic gubernatorial frontrunner, Andrew Cuomo, in announcing his campaign this week, struck a tone that was distinctly Christie-like:

WOW!..If Mr. Christie can succeed in pushing his program through New Jersey’s Democratic legislature, he might well vault onto the GOP presidential shortlist in 2012. Certainly the conservatives who attended yesterday’s speech were impressed by a rare chief executive willing to tackle his state’s intractable problems in an unapologetic manner.

SMALL BUSINESS TO GET CLOBBERED BY OBAMACARE

Small business owners have been saying for years that they need health-care with lower costs. But  Obama and administration with Congress pushed through a law that will dramatically raise health-care costs and increase the overall cost of doing business. obamacare-poster

What’s more, the federal mandate requiring that nearly all U.S. residents carry health insurance by 2014 seriously threatens our basic constitutional rights and individual freedoms.

Obamacare;…This law is going to strangle small business owners to death! According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the overhaul will cost about $115 billion more than first projected, bringing the total to more than $1 trillion. Small businesses will also now have to deal with an onslaught of new taxes and burdensome paperwork.

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), on behalf of small business owners nationwide, has joined the lawsuit with 20 plus states mounting a constitutional challenge to this devastating new health-care law.

There are Supporters that say small businesses will benefit through a small business tax credit provision. But the reality is that the tax credit is complex, very limited, is only available for a maximum of six years, and puts small business owners through a series of complicated “tests” to determine if they qualify and how much they will receive. Fewer than one-third of small businesses even pass the first three (of four) tests to qualify: have 25 employees or less, provide health insurance, and pay 50% of the cost of that insurance.

More importantly, since the tax credit is temporary, when it ends, small businesses will be left paying full price with permanent healthcare cost increases. There are also all sorts of new taxes, fees and mandates buried in this 2,000-page law.

One of these new taxes is a so-called health insurance fee. It’s a massive $8 billion tax (that escalates to $14.3 billion by 2018) on insurance companies based on their market share. This tax will be paid almost exclusively by small businesses and individuals because the law specifically excludes self-insured plans,( those plans that most big businesses and labor unions offer), from having to pay the tax.

Now you know that insurers aren’t simply going to absorb this new tax…No, it will be passed on to customers. Specifically, it will be passed on to the plans that 87% of small businesses and individuals buy. A study by the Federal Policy Group published last October found that the amount of taxes passed on to the typical family of four could be $500 or more per year.

If the news isn’t bad enough yet, the law also requires all businesses to issue IRS 1099 forms to document every business-to-business transaction of $600 or more. To someone who’s never run a business, this may sound like nothing. But the paperwork and red -tape is far from nothing. And it’s all so Congress can raise $17 billion in added tax revenues and fees from this new mandate. This is chicken feed compared to the trillions in debt that have been added the past 12 months…

The burden of raising that expected revenue falls again on the backs of small business owners who already suffer under unmanageable federal paperwork burdens. What’s worse, this new reporting requirement has absolutely nothing to do with health-care reform. It was included to help pay for the nearly trillion-dollar price tag of the bill. Why should small business owners have to pay for a bill that causes them so much harm? They shouldn’t, which is why NFIB is fighting against this law in court.

The health-care law is unconstitutional. The centerpiece of this law is an individual mandate requiring virtually all Americans to purchase health insurance or pay a fine. We strongly believe that the Commerce Clause of the Constitution does not give Congress the power to force individuals to purchase a private product or face a fine. Requiring individuals to purchase something simply because they are alive is unprecedented. The military draft is the only exception to this, and Congress’s authority to enact the draft is provided for in the Constitution, unlike this mandate.

The individual mandate imposes unique burdens on those small business people who are sole proprietors and the least able to afford it. These independent men and women rarely can afford to distinguish between their own “personal” resources and those of their business. The mandate will now force them to spend money on insurance they may not want, rather than using those funds to run and grow their businesses.

If this law is not overturned, then all citizens should be prepared for the long arm of the federal government to reach even further into how we choose to live our lives, spend our money and pursue our own definitions of happiness.

Health-care reform is too important to be based on an unconstitutional mandate. Small businesses need the judicial system—if necessary, the U.S. Supreme Court—to overturn this law to protect them from having to pay for a statute that causes them more harm than good and ultimately infringes on all Americans’ personal freedoms.

GM TRYING TO CONVERT CAR SALES AT CHURCH, NOT SOULS

Sunday At Church, It was not only a day of praise and prayer, but, well, test driving General Motors’ new lineup of cars, and SUVS….beth-car-church2

Say What?…In what organizers said was the first event of its kind in the area, a large Baptist Church in Detroit teamed up Sunday with GM and the GM Minority Dealers Association to offer churchgoers a chance to test drive 10 or more cars.

Good Grief…Now we have “trading” the 10 Commandments in for “the 10 cars” at a worship service. Government Motors and the Washington Regime will stoop to anything to “muscle a deal”.

As congregants left the northwest side church at 1 p.m., the Pastor said the idea of Ride and Drive was to demonstrate GM’s commitment to minority causes, its employment of thousands of local African Americans and to encourage churchgoers to buy a new GM car.

“Americans now must support American-made products,” the Pastor said outside the church with the Detroit Mayor, a longtime member. “We are encouraging our church members to take care of their community by buying locally. This is an ethical purpose that is beyond profit.”

After a cruise in a shiny maroon 2010 Chevy Camaro, one church member was all smiles.

“It’s a beautiful car,” the 38-year-old Detroit resident said. “I love it. When I get a job(Good Luck With That), I might get one.”

Her 8-year-old son was equally impressed: “It was radical.” Hmm,,, I wonder where that word “radical” came from.

Banks also were on hand to show potential new car owners how to apply for a loan. The church was chosen to host the event because it has a history of activism, said an on-hand event spokesman..

Poised to buy a powerful SUV, another church-goer said his priorities changed after driving a four-cylinder, fuel-efficient Chevy Equinox.

“The older you get, the more you think about saving money,” the 40-year-old Detroit resident said after his test drive. You can forget that Pal with Obama in office!

The event was called a success… Here’s a way for people to experience a product by Government Motors without worrying about pushy dealers while God just sits in the waiting room! Oh, by the way…Organizers said the event was GM’s idea.

EVERYDAY IS TAX-DAY WITH OBAMACARE

New taxes on investments, taxes on medical supplies, taxes on drugs and health insurance, and taxes on you if you are just breathing… the list of taxes Americans will face just gets longer and longer thanks to ObamaCare and will  cause us to Pull Our Hair Out!…pulling-hair-out

The health overhaul plan just enacted represents the largest tax hike in U.S. history - $569 billion over 10 years through a dizzying array of taxes and fees that promise to frustrate taxpayers at every turn.  ObamaCare will make every day feel like APRIL 15th.

And despite President Obama’s campaign promise that no one making $250,000 or less would see a tax increase, Congress’ Joint Committee on Taxation confirms that these tax hikes will hit millions of middle- and working-class families who are struggling to make ends meet.

Here are just a few of the most egregious ObamaCare taxes that hard-working Americans will be facing in the $2.6 trillion health overhaul bill:

  • “Breath tax”:  The infamous “death tax” now has a new sibling: the $17 billion “breath tax.”  The new health overhaul law requires everyone in America who breathes to have health insurance by 2014; some will get subsidies, but most will have to pay a fine if they don’t buy the health insurance required by the federal government.  Last week, Internal Revenue Commissioner Douglas Shulman said that enforcement of the individual mandate will come by seizing tax refunds and “collection, if need be.”
  • Taxes on medical devices:  Surgical scissors, wheelchairs, intravenous bags, dental retainers and braces, CT scanners, stretchers, exam room tables, heart stents, pacemakers, surgical gloves, spineboards at every local pool, scales at a doctor’s office or health club, any diagnostic test for any disease or condition – all will be among the products and procedures subject to ObamaCare’s special $20 billion medical device tax beginning in 2013.  This tax will make these medical supplies more expensive, will drive up the cost of health care and health insurance for Americans, will threaten jobs in the medical device industry, and confiscate money needed for new innovative breakthroughs.
  • New Tax on Health Insurance Providers:  Even though soaring health costs are the problem Americans most wanted government to solve, ObamaCare promises to drive costs even higher by instituting a new $60 billion tax on health insurers.  Insurers and health plans can be expected to pass along this tax to policyholders through higher premiums.  So starting in 2014, Americans will be forced to buy health insurance, and the federal government will be actively making it more expensive.
  • Medicare Payroll Tax:  Starting in 2013, ObamaCare increases the Medicare payroll tax for many small business owners and others earning more than $250,000 a year.  This tax hike will place yet another burden on small business owners who the country needs to create jobs and lead the economy into recovery.  This job-killing payroll tax is estimated to raise $86.8 billion over seven years.
  • New Tax on Investment: In addition to the Medicare payroll tax hike, investment income will now be subject to a tax of 3.8% starting in 2013 for those in higher income categories.  Even middle-class homeowners who realize a capital gain of $250,000 or more on the sale of their home will be hit by this Medicare tax, which will drain another $123.4 billion out of taxpayers’ pockets and into the government’s coffers over seven years.
  • New Drug Tax:  ObamaCare’s new tax on brand-name drugs kicks in next year and is estimated to raise $27 billion over nine years.  The public can expect to have these costs passed on to them in the form of higher drug prices and higher insurance costs.

Oh,,, One more small detail they forgot to tell you about in the health care bill:

Taxpayers earning less than $200,000 a year will pay roughly $3.9 billion more in taxes — in 2019 alone — because of healthcare reform, according to the Joint Committee on Taxation, Congress’ official scorekeeper for legislation.

The new law raises $15.2 billion over 10 years by limiting the medical expense deduction, a provision widely used by taxpayers who either have a serious illness or are older.

Taxpayers can currently deduct medical expenses in excess of 7.5 percent of their adjusted gross income. Starting in 2013, most taxpayers will only be allowed to deducted expenses greater than 10 percent of AGI. Older taxpayers are hit by this threshold increase in 2017.

Simply put, this health overhaul plan will take at least $569 billion out of the pockets of taxpayers and businesses over the next ten years through new and higher taxes, and will make the problems of soaring health costs even worse.  No wonder the more Americans hear about ObamaCare, the less they like it…

BOARDROOM PERSONALITY TYPES APPLIED TO POLITICAL CANDIDATES

There are four personality types or social styles – Analyticals, Drivers, Expressives and Amiables – that have a presence in the boardroom of institutions. All four have their own unique approach to business, issues, solutions, and their own language and thought processes etc. Over the years, skillful business and sales professionals have become adept at recognizing which personality they are dealing with and predicting how each personality type is likely to respond to a situation, adapting their approach and communication style accordingly.

In every boardroom, we will always find three of the four personality types, occasionally, all four. With many documented situations over time it has discovered which personality is likely to fill which position on the board.

Perhaps in looking ahead at important political races we can apply what we’ve learned about personalities in a boardroom to candidates running for political seats to gain insight as to how each candidate is likely to react and vote on an important issue. In light of what we’ve just witnessed with the recent illegitimate passing of Obamacare with so many representatives caving under pressure and weakness for bribery deals, gaining insight through this kind of filter could be useful in deciding who is the best and strongest candidate able to stand firm on Conservative Principle.

The Driver:

Drivers are action and goal oriented, need to see results and have a quick reaction time. They are decisive, independent, disciplined, practical and efficient. They typically use facts and data, speak and act quickly, lean forward, point and make direct eye contact. Their body posture is often rigid and they have controlled facial expressions.

They rarely want to waste time on personal talk or preliminaries and can be perceived by other styles as dominating or harsh and severe in pursuit of a goal. They are comfortable in positions of power and control and they have businesslike offices with certificates and commendations on the wall. In times of stress, drivers may become autocratic.  On the wrong team can you say Nancy Pelosi?

The Analytical:

Analyticals are concerned with being organized, having all the facts and being careful before taking action. Their need is to be accurate, to be right. precise, orderly, methodical and conform to standard operating procedures, organizational rules and historical ways of doing things. They typically have a slow reaction time and work more slowly and carefully than Drivers. They are perceived as serious, industrious, persistent, and exacting.

Usually, they are task oriented, use facts and data, tend to speak slowly. lean back and use their hands frequently. They do not make direct eye contact and control their facial expressions. Others may see them as stuffy, indecisive, critical, picky and moralistic. They are comfortable in positions in which they can check facts and figures and be sure they are right. They have neat, well organised offices and in times of stress, Analyticals tend to avoid conflict.

The Expressive:

Expressives enjoy involvement, excitement, and interpersonal action. They are sociable, stimulating, enthusiastic and are good at involving and motivating others. They are also ideas oriented. have little concern for routine, are future oriented and usually they have a quick reaction time. They need to be accepted by others, tend to be spontaneous, outgoing, energetic, friendly and focused on people rather than on tasks. Typically, they use opinions and stories rather than facts and data. They speak and act quickly; vary vocal inflection, lean forward, point and make direct eye contact. They can make statements off the cuff without thinking through what the consequences of such statements. Joe Biden?

They use their hands when talking; have a relaxed body posture and an animated expression. Their feelings often show in their faces and they are perceived by others as excitable, impulsive, undisciplined, dramatic, manipulative, ambitious, overly reactive and egotistical. They usually have disorganized offices and may have leisure equipment like golf clubs or tennis racquets. Under stressful conditions, Expressives tend to resort to personal attack.

And Finally – The Amiable:

Amiables need co-operation, personal security and acceptance. They are uncomfortable with and will avoid conflict at all costs. They value personal relationships, helping others and being liked. Some Amiables will sacrifice their own desires to win approval from others. They prefer to work with other people in a team effort, rather than individually and they have an unhurried reaction time and little concern with effecting change. Typically, they are friendly, supportive, respectful, willing, dependable and agreeable. They are also people-oriented.

They use opinions rather than facts and data, speak slowly and softly, use more vocal inflection than Drivers or Analyticals. They lean back while talking and do not make direct eye contact; they also have a casual posture and an animated expression. They are perceived by other styles as conforming, unsure, pliable, dependent and awkward. They have homely offices – family photographs, plants etc. An Amiable’s reaction to stress is to comply with others. Bart Stupak?

Most people’s first reaction after reading the four profiles is to believe that they fit into more than one category and this is absolutely right. However, everyone has a dominant style and no-one should believe that they fit into more than two:

The Social Styles Model:

Take a look at the illustration. personality-stylesNote where each style is placed, because this is important. The personality, one finds most difficult to relate to naturally, is one’s diagonal opposites on the matrix. So it is useful to study the characteristics of one’s diagonally opposite Social Style.

The majority of professional salespeople are Expressives; so clearly, they are going to find it most difficult to relate to and communicate with, Analyticals. That is a challenge in itself, because there will always be at least one Analytical within the formal setting!

What is even more interesting, is that Top 5% achievers are Drivers! So you see, they have no difficulty getting onto the same wavelength as Analyticals, because they are side by side and of course they have total synergy with other Drivers, plus, they relate well to Expressives. But, they have little in common with Amiables. Why is that so significant? Well, quite simply, the Social Style that you are least likely to find in a boardroom is…….. yes, it’s an Amiable.

Here are what various residents of the boardroom typically have…

Managing Directors are typically Drivers, as you might expect.

Finance Directorsare usually Analyticals

Sales Directorsare nearly always Expressives

Marketing Directorsare also Expressives

Technical Directorsare almost always Analyticals

In Sales  Top 5% Achievers, are normally Drivers

So, putting our political candidates through this filter, what are we looking for? First of all certainly not an Amiable…

We are probably looking for a mature minded candidate who first of all is a Driver but who is Mature in Conservative Principle and Experience and at the same time understands Analytical Criteria and can Communicate as an Expressive, having a Dynamic Personality. Ronald Reagan comes to mind here.

OBAMA:THE MIND OF A DICTATOR

The latest CBS News Poll, conducted between March 29 and April 1, found Americans unhappier than ever with Mr. Obama’s handling of health care — and still worried about the state of the economy.President Obama’s overall job approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 44 percent, down five points from late March.”  Down five points since the health care bill passed. arrogant-obamaA growing 41 disapprove, and once again evidence abounds that Obama has divided America.  He has come to divide.  He is not a unifier. When it comes to health care, the President’s approval rating is even lower — and is also a new all-time low. Only 34 percent approved, while 55 percent said they disapproved.  Americans are still worried about the economy, with 84 percent telling CBS they thought it was still in bad condition.

With this ever expanding distrust and disapproval of the Obama Agenda by Americans as a back-drop, a staged basketball court backyard interview with Obama by CBS, provided good CBS liberal Harry Smith the opportunity to ask the President a brilliant, probing, and insightful question:
I’ve been spending time out and about listening to talk radio.  The kindest of terms you’re sometimes referred to out in America is a socialist.  The worst of which I’ve heard is called a Nazi.  Are you aware of the level of enmity that crosses the airwaves and that people have made their daily conversation about you?

President Obama’s response to the question is shocking! His answer clearly gives us an open door into the mind of a person clearly absorbed with a personal ideaology and agenda that totally ignores the will of the people…Here is Obama’a revealing response:

OBAMA:  “It’s pretty apparent and it’s troublesome.  But keep in mind that there have been periods in American history where this kind of vitriol comes out.  It happens often when you’ve got an economy that is making people more anxious and people are feeling as if there’s a lot of change that needs to take place.  But that’s not the vast majority of Americans.  I think the vast majority of Americans know that we’re trying hard, that I want what’s best for the country.”

Folks, this is not what change looks like! Change can take on many shapes. what you’ve just read is what the mind of a Dictator headed toward Socialism looks like…not the mind of a leader governing For The People By The People!

THERE IS NO REBOUND, JUST TAKE DOWN…OBAMA STYLE

The “Recession That Can Never End” has Americans depending on a government handout like never before instead of rebounding with Jobs and Wages. take-money1

The reality is that without Record Government Benefits, welfare, and unemployment as well as tax cuts last year, the income of U.S. households would have plunged by an astonishing $723 billion — more than four times the record $167 billion drop reported last month by the Commerce Department.

Plus, for the first time since the Great Depression, Americans took more aid from the government than they paid in taxes.

The massive job loss figures of last year are devastating and indicate that an economic recovery is tenuous and has a long way to go before many Americans resume life as normal, analysts said.

Economic growth typically driven by consumer spending  fed by Jobs, Wages, Rents, Interest and other forms of Income fell by a record $206 billion last year to $7.84 trillion. Yet transfer payments from the government such as unemployment checks and Social Security ballooned by $231 billion to $2.1 trillion. At the same time, taxes that individual Americans paid plummeted by $325 billion to $2.1 trillion as a result of middle-class tax cuts and nearly 6 million people being thrown out of work and no longer paying payroll taxes.

So economic data suggests the tentative revival of consumer spending in the second half of last year was fed largely by an extraordinary flood of government spending, not growth in Private Income, Jobs, and Wages. Furthermore, commerce economists said the unprecedented drop of $206 billion in private wages — the mainstay of consumers in ordinary times — was particularly dramatic, and was more than 40 times larger than the drop in wages during the entire 2001 recession.

This kind of situation is unsustainable because the government has had to borrow massively to prop up the economy and cannot continue a binge like this for long.

So where is the leadership directive that should be a priority to get the American private sector economy healthy, working, back up, and running? After all, we heard President Obama say in the State of the Union speech that jobs were a priority. Ahhh,,,but we must remember that you have to Watch What He Does, not what he says…because here he is again doing more head fakes and orchestrating another drive -by massacre attempt along with Democrats to ram Obamacare down the throats of the American people.

Obamacare is not a jobs program, nor is it a healthcare improvement program for that matter. It is an entitlement program giving government control over 17% more of the American economy and making  Americans evermore dependent on government and increasingly less reliant on themselves. Obamacare will increase healthcare costs for American citizens and lower the quality of healthcare administered. It will send U.S. debt  (9.7 TRILLION added by Obama by 2020)  spiraling beyond hope and bankrupt our country.

This is going to crash the United States economy and crash the Country. There is only one conclusion that one can draw here and that is the intent is to overload the system so that it cannot function…

We’ve never had a president where more and more journalists, commentators, pundits, and Americans are questioning his motivations, sanity, psychological circumstance and health and so forth. What is Obama Smokin?… We don’t know…We don’t know what he’s thinking either….We know very little about this guy other than what he shows us. What he shows us is a person with no respect for the founding principles of our country and a loathing disdain for the Constitution of the United States. He has a focused resolve to crash our economic system, shatter the resolve of the American people, and make them totally dependent on government while injecting shock treatments of marxism and socialism.

But Why? What’s the Point? Could be he wants to weaken the country badly and become a dictator. Could be that he has some deep seated ideology to reduce America to a socialist state equalized with european socialist states and then become the leader over say 10 of them in a new world order. These hypotheses are as good as any because no body knows this guy and that is very dangerous. We’ve got to stop the Take Down. We’ve Got To Take Our Country Back!

Congress Grills Toyota, Which One Really Produces A Flawed Product?

Today, February 24, 2010 We have Toyota Executives up on Capital Hill being accused of careless, reckless behavior in producing a design flawed product,,,by Congress! Yes, by Congress, board members of GM and Chrysler …I mean Folks, there’s a big finger pointing going on here but there are “three bigger ones” pointing back the other way!pointed-finger

Tomorrow, Obama is set to come back around again with Obamacare, a health care product manufactured by Obama and Congress that is a Ticking Time Bomb loaded with Design Flaws! Talk about a product guaranteed to “suddenly accelerate” to the Moon, debt that is; Here It Is…and how about Obama,… Man, he’s popping up with this Fraught Laiden Calamity in hand more often than Glenn Close in the movie “Fatal Attraction”.

The difference between Toyotas and Obamacare is that nobody’s forced to buy a Toyota. People buy them because they like them and Toyota owners are a loyal repeat customer base logging many years of trouble free satisfaction. A very small percentage of Toyota owners are affected with potential flaws here whereas all Americans will be forced to buy a health care product that is saturated with design flaws, one that weakens the company selling them, and one that puts the buyer, We Americans, at great personal risk.  And the worst thing about this, is that the CEO of this will not be subject to any recalls… You Got It, Obama.

WASHINGTON’S CONFLICT OF INTEREST WITH TOYOTA

The U.S. Government pounding away at Toyota has a “Conflict Of Interest.”

Last year in 2009 Toyota made many of the Best Cars available with awards both from a reliability and safety standpoint. Last year Democrats postponed Bankruptcy for GM and Chrysler with government ownership.

Now, less than a year later according to U.S. government officials and media accomplices Toyota is “knowingly” building “Dastardly” Death Traps, unsuitable for Americans to drive.

Is this true?…Well, Of Course Not. Safety issues that lead to recalls generally occur in very small numbers, often barely rising above statistical noise. Toyota’s unintended acceleration problem, for instance, involved a handful of cases in literally billions of miles of driving.

This whole Toyota saga began as a few uncertain questions about “sudden acceleration”. Every major car-maker receives occasional reports of sudden unintended acceleration (SUA). In the last decade, the National Highway Transportation Safety Agency logged some 24,000 SUA complaints. Less than 50 of these red flags were investigated. Why so few? The main reason is the nebulous nature of SUA. Often the problem occurs once, never to happen again. It’s tough to fix a defect that can’t be replicated. And then there’s the driver variable. As awful as this is to think about, it’s been shown that sometimes drivers simply mix up which pedal they’re pushing.

In the late 1980s, the Audi 5000 was the target of a barrage of SUA allegations, lawsuits and press reports. In the end, NHTSA concluded that driver error was the only likely explanation for the incidents.

Now though what started as a few questions has taken on a “Life” and morphed into a media and political firestorm over the safety of Toyota’s entire fleet. To insure product safety Toyota has issued three recalls involving 8 million vehicles and even halted sales briefly until potentially affected vehicles could be fitted with an engineered correction solution.

But the U.S.government saw an opportunity to “Not Allow A Good Crisis Go To Waste”. There’s no question that as Toyota announced recalls, some in the Obama administration and Congress saw advantage in undermining Toyota. Maybe this could be an opportunity to get back at Toyota for wiping up during “cash for clunkers”. Besides as the majority owner of Government Motors it couldn’t hurt to fan the image of Toyota in the eyes of American drivers. Shoppers might just buy a GM instead of a Toyota, thereby propping up government investment and bolstering United Auto Worker union jobs. And of course the trial bar would be thrilled by a fat new class-action target.

The U.S. government and media hammered this campaign daily for weeks with Obama Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood leading the charge. “This is a big deal, this is a big safety issue,” he exclaimed. “My advice is, if anybody owns one of these vehicles, stop driving it,” he went on to say. Mr. LaHood later claimed he’d misspoke.

Ever wonder what the Odds are of experiencing “sudden acceleration” in a Toyota? Take a look along with a few other reference points…

Mr. LaHood and Washington’s enthusiasm in bashing Toyota is beginning to backfire though and the U.S. government is “suddenly trying to decelerate” its campaign against Toyota. It was inevitable that such a loud attack would lead to questions as to whether the administration was carrying water for the domestic industry. The White House is today fielding as many queries about its role as owner and regulator as Toyota is fielding about recalls.

It is also occurring to some Democrats that, while Toyotas are mainly assembled in red states, they are, uh, sold in blue ones. A loss in sales for Toyota will idle Toyota factory workers, Toyota dealerships and suppliers. Some of these folks even live in Michigan. More employment loss does not translate very well into re-election votes.

Toyota has recently made the statement that the Department of Transportation and National Highway Safety Administration “under the Obama Administration” is “Not Industry Friendly.” All of this has led a growing number of politicians to worry about a Japanese retaliation against U.S. auto makers who’s Huge list of recalls and defective cars virtually goes unannounced.

Toyota has not yet laid off a single one of its 34,000 U.S. workers, but that may change. Only a year ago, Democrats were shouting about economic damage if GM or Chrysler went bust. They postponed that with government ownership. They along with Toyota are now dealing with the all-too-easy-to-predict political behavior that follows such meddling in the private economy.

OBAMA SPEECH:WATCH WHAT HE DOES NOT WHAT HE SAYS…

The Obama State Of The Union Address…A bold 75 minute effort to redefine what any number of polls, including the Gallup presidential tracking polls, indicate is a failingtoothy-obama1 presidency. You gotta watch what he does, not what he says. Most all the administration’s key legislative initiatives have hit the wall in Congress, with members of the president’s party increasingly looking for the exits rather than for another term. Obama’s response to this has been to do a “head fake” and change the rhetoric rather than the reality. He is no longer going to be the cool, smooth, hope and change kool-aid candidate for president that better than half the voters drank in 2008. That’s out the window in favor of Obama 2.0, the populist firebrand, “fighter for you”, leading a charge of life altering initiatives that only he knows are best for the American people.. if only he could get people to trust him and go along with his agenda. In short, Obama’s answer is…More Obama

A look at some of his claims, contradictions, and how they compare with the facts:

OBAMA: “Starting in 2011, we are prepared to freeze government spending for three years. Spending related to our national security, Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security will not be affected. But all other discretionary government programs will. Like any cash-strapped family, we will work within a budget to invest in what we need and sacrifice what we don’t.”

THE FACTS: The anticipated savings from this proposal would amount to less than one percent of the deficit — and that’s if the president can persuade Congress to go along.

Obama is a convert to the cause of broad spending freezes. In the presidential campaign, he criticized Republican opponent John McCain for suggesting one. “The problem with a spending freeze is you’re using a hatchet where you need a scalpel,” he said a month before the election. Now, Obama wants domestic spending held steady in most areas where the government can control year to year costs. The proposal is similar to McCain’s.

——

OBAMA: “I’ve called for a bipartisan fiscal commission, modeled on a proposal by Republican Judd Gregg and Democrat Kent Conrad. This can’t be one of those Washington gimmicks that lets us pretend we solved a problem. The commission will have to provide a specific set of solutions by a certain deadline. Yesterday, the Senate blocked a bill that would have created this commission. So I will issue an executive order that will allow us to go forward, because I refuse to pass this problem on to another generation of Americans.”

THE FACTS: Any commission that Obama creates would be a weak substitute for what he really wanted — a commission created by Congress that could force lawmakers to consider unpopular remedies to reduce the debt, including curbing politically sensitive entitlements like Social Security and Medicare. That idea crashed in the Senate this week, defeated by equal numbers of Democrats and Republicans. Any commission set up by Obama alone would lack authority to force its recommendations before Congress, and would stand almost no chance of success.

——

OBAMA: Discussing his health care initiative, he said: “Our approach would preserve the right of Americans who have insurance to keep their doctor and their plan.”

THE FACTS: The Democratic legislation now hanging in limbo on Capitol Hill aims to keep people with employer-sponsored coverage — the majority of Americans under age 65 — in the plans they already have. But Obama can’t guarantee g point of contention for the president. In December, the administration reported that recipients of direct assistance from the government created or saved about 650,000 jobs. The number was based on self-reporting by recipients and some of the calculations were shown to be in error.

The Congressional Budget Office has been much more guarded than Obama in characterizing the success of the stimulus plan. In November, it reported that the stimulus increased the number of people employed by between 600,000 and 1.6 million “compared with what those values would have been otherwise.” It said the ranges “reflect the uncertainty of such estimates.” And it added: “It is impossible to determine how many of the reported jobs would have existed in the absence of the stimulus package.”

——

OBAMA: He called for action by the White House and Congress “to do our work openly, and to give our people the government they deserve.”

THE FACTS: Obama skipped past a broken promise from his campaign — to have the negotiations for health care legislation broadcast on C-SPAN “so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies.” Instead, Democrats in the White House and Congress have conducted the usual private negotiations, making multibillion-dollar deals with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and other stakeholders behind closed doors. Nor has Obama lived up consistently to his pledge to ensure that legislation is posted online for five days before it’s acted upon.

——

OBAMA: “We will continue to go through the budget line by line to eliminate programs that we can’t afford and don’t work. We’ve already identified $20 billion in savings for next year.”

THE FACTS: Identifying savings is far from achieving them. If the past is any guide, little will result from this exercise because Congress routinely rejects the White House’s suggested spending cuts.

——

OBAMA: “The United States and Russia are completing negotiations on the farthest-reaching arms control treaty in nearly two decades.”

THE FACTS: Despite insisting early last year that they would complete the negotiations in time to avoid expiration of the 1991 Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty in early December, the U.S. and Russia failed to do so. And while officials say they think a deal on a new treaty is within reach, there has been no breakthrough. A new round of talks is set to start Monday. One important sticking point: disagreement over including missile defense issues in a new accord. If completed, the new deal may arguably be the farthest-reaching arms control treaty since the original 1991 agreement. An interim deal reached in 2002 did not include its own rules on verifying nuclear reductions.

——

OBAMA: Drawing on classified information, he claimed more success than his predecessor at killing terrorists: “And in the last year, hundreds of al-Qaida’s fighters and affiliates, including many senior leaders, have been captured or killed — far more than in 2008.”

THE FACTS: It is an impossible claim to verify. Neither the Bush nor the Obama administration has published enemy body counts, particularly those targeted by armed drones in the Pakistan-Afghan border region. The pace of drone attacks has increased dramatically in the last 18 months, according to congressional officials briefed on the secret program.

SEARCH FOR ALIEN LIFE ON EARTH TURNS TO WASHINGTON POLITICS

The search for alien life forms should be conducted here on Earth rather than in outer space, scientists have claimed.alien

That is what Professor Paul Davies, a physicist at Arizona University will tell a meeting at the Royal Society. The best way of proving that extra-terrestrial life exists elsewhere in the universe is to use evidence from earth. Now this is a physicist serious about his subject matter making a serious presentation… However, the purpose of this article is not to cram Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence Propaganda down your throat.; Look at the comments below and how folks are interpreting the Subject Matter!

The meeting at the Royal Society, which will include representatives from Nasa, the European Space Agency and the UN Office for Outer space Affairs marks the 5th anniversary of the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) programme. Lord Rees, President of the Royal Society will also lead one of the sessions.

Prof Davies said: We need to give up the notion that ET is sending us some sort of customised message and take a new approach.”

He suggested that the search could focus on deserts, volcanic vents, salt-saturated lakes and the dry valleys of Antarctica - places where ordinary life struggles to survive - to find “weird” microbes that belong to a “shadow biosphere”.

Felissa Wolfe-Simon, from the US Geological Survey, is currently looking at the possibility that arsenic, found in contaminated places such as the Mono Lake in California, might support forms of life in the same way as other life forms use phosphorous.

However, Professor Colin Pillinger, who led the Beagle 2 Mars landing mission remains sceptical. He said: “I prefer to deal in scientific fact - this is wildly science fiction. You’d be off your trolley to go searching for arsenic-based life.”

Prof Pillinger argues that Mars is the most likely place to find alien life.

The conference will also discuss how humans might respond to the discovery of extra-terrestrial intelligence.

Albert Harrison, the from University of California, said: “It is easy to imagine scenarios resulting in widespread psychological disintegration and social chaos. but historical prototypes, reactions to false alarms and survey results suggest that the predominant response to the discover of a microwave transmission from light years away is likely to be equanimity, perhaps even delight.”

HERE ARE COMMENTS ON THE SUBJECT MATTER…READ AND ENJOY

ABSOLUTELY A COMMENDABLE IDEA. START HERE ON EARTH TO FIND ALIEN LIFE FORMS. I BELIEVE THEY HAVE INFILTRATED OUR LAND. MY SUGGESTION IS TO BEGIN WITH THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. CHECK OUT THE LEFTIST RADICALS, AND PROGRESSIVES FIRST. THEY MAY NOT BE MICROBES BUT THEY ARE DEFINITELY INVASIVE. STRANGE MUTATIONS, STRANGE WAYS TO RUN A GOVERNMENT, STRANGE REACTIONS TO NORMAL PEOPLE. INDEED, A HIGH DEGREE OF STRANGENESS!!

Al Gore is selling off his carbon credit companies for Alien offsets now.

I know they are here. my first wife is one of ‘em…….

Absolutely start the search in the White House!

Aliens?……james carville.need i say more?

You have to start your search in the White House. I half expect Obama to unzip his skin and an alien from the movie Men in Black to step out……. come to think of it, look at Pelosi, I think that it may have already happened

They should start their seach at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, DC. There are illegal aliens living there.

Darn! I was hoping the headline meant illegal aliens, those who migrate illegally into another country for those of you who are liberals

SCOTT BROWN’S NOVEL CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION IDEA: “THE PEOPLE’S SEAT”

Republican Scott Brown running to win “The People’s Seat”, not “Ted Kennedy’s old seat”, won a stunning Congressional victory in last Tuesday’s election for the Senate seat in Massachusetts held for 47 years by the late Ted Kennedy. “The People’s Seat”…What a Novel Idea. I wonder if the Authors of our Constitution thought about that idea?conservativebrawler

Dick Morris recently stated that this is clearly a rejection of the agenda the Obama Administration has been working to cram down the throats of the American people. Morris also said Brown’s win could persuade as many as 10 House members to retire from long-held Democratic seats and open them up to a serious Republican challenge in November. There are at least five Democratic senators who are highly vulnerable to defeat this year as well.

The upcoming Congressional elections hold the key for stopping the current madness and a return to Conservative Republican leadership. The Scott Brown victory has a huge effect on them, not just because of one seat in Massachusetts — although that’s significant — but because Brown’s campaign provides the template that Conservative Americans interested in running for office can use and follow.

“The People’s Seat”  should be the Centerpiece Theme for the 2010 November elections…If a Republicans can win the most liberal seat in the most liberal state in the country, any seat in the country can be had this November with the right candidate, theme and values. Last Tuesday’s election also sends a message to older Democratic congressmen who have been in Congress for many years and feel they might lose. They might just choose to retire.

On the Senate side, there are five states where there are very vulnerable senators, but we don’t have good candidates running against them: Gillibrand in New York, the woman who took Hillary’s seat; Evan Bayh in Indiana; Russ Feingold in Wisconsin; in Washington, Patty Murray; and in Oregon, Ron Wyden.

These are five senators who can be defeated but there are not good candidates in each of these places to run yet. The defeat in Massachusetts however provides the way and should encourage fresh Conservative Republicans to get into the race and really give these incumbents a tough run for their money and very likely take the seats…”The People’s Seat”!!!

DEMOCRATS PLAN UNIVERSAL VOTER REGISTRATION

Many are getting more and more puzzled that Democrats persist in ramming unpopular and destructive legislation down our collective throats while seemingly unconcerned by their plummeting poll numbers. A widespread belief is that the Democrats are committing political suicide and will be swept from one or both houses of Congress with unprecedented electoral losses next November; And just this week several Democrats have announced they are bowing out while others seem to be in deep trouble for re-election. But Democrats rarely do things that will not ultimately benefit themselves. So,,, what do they know that we don’t?

confused1

Looks like we may have found out. It’s called universal voter registration. The Wall Street Journal’s John Fund described the Democrat plan recently at a David Horowitz Freedom Center forum.

Fund describes the proposal as follows:

Sometime this month, January, Chuck Schumer and Barney Frank will propose universal voter registration. What is universal voter registration? It means all of the state laws on elections will be overriden by a federal mandate. The feds will tell the states: ‘take everyone on every list of welfare that you have, take everyone on every list of unemployed you have, take everyone on every list of property owners, take everyone on every list of driver’s license holders and register them to vote regardless of whether they want to be…’

Fund anticipates that Congress will attempt to ram this legislation down our throats like they have been with the “healthcare” bill. What a surprise! Fund covers the vote issue at greater length in his book, How the Obama Administration Threatens to Undermine Our Elections, a very good read.

Leftist groups are already arguing that universal voter registration will solve all the problems with our voting system. But the left created most of these problems. The radical leftist Nation magazine, for example, absolutely loves the idea of universal voter registration. This is the same magazine, however, that advanced Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven’s Manufactured Crisis strategy. The Cloward/Piven strategy was designed to undermine government institutions by overwhelming them with impossible demands for services. Cloward and Piven focused on welfare, housing and voting as the main targets of this strategy, and the radical group ACORN was specifically created for the purpose of executing it.

The Nation article enthusiastically lists Cloward/Piven-inspired organizations like Project Vote, the ACORN group where President Obama cut his teeth. It also discusses the left’s efforts to push enforcement of the Motor Voter law, and explains how universal voter registration could assist in these efforts. Cloward and Piven were the ones who crafted Motor Voter legislation in the early 1980s and pushed for it’s enactment until 1993, when President Clinton signed it into law. Cloward and Piven considered Motor Voter to be their crowning lifetime achievement.

There are vicious smear attacks by the left against John Fund for bringing universal voter registration to our attention. A Google search of the issue brings up any number of nasty ad hominem attacks.

The problems with universal voter registration are numerous and obvious. Many state lists include vast numbers of illegals, including some states which allow illegals to obtain driver’s licenses; because many homeowners have more than one home there will be duplicates; because so many people are on so many separate federal and state government agency lists, there will be duplicates, and because so many lists exist with little or no cross-checking capability these duplicates are likely to go uncorrected. Add to this the fact that Dems hope to extend voting rights to felons and the whole thing begins to look like a nationwide Democrat voter registration drive facilitated by taxpayers.

The Motor Voter law was correctly identified as a facilitator of vote fraud. One of the few legal issues Barack Obama actually participated in as a lawyer was a 1995 suit against the State of Illinois, which he brought on behalf of ACORN. Then Republican Governor Jim Edgars saw the newly passed Motor Voter act as creating the potential for massive vote fraud and refused to implement it. With the assistance of the Clinton Justice Department, Obama’s legal team won that suit. Obama himself actually participated very little, a strategy that seems to have served him well in life. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, after identifying himself in court proceedings, Obama sat back and let “the heavy-hitters at the Justice Department make the arguments…”

It is not surprising that the Democrats are now choosing to push this new initiative, for universal voter registration will be Motor Voter running on turbochargers. And who better to lead the charge than the President from ACORN.

THE CHAIN FOR HARRY “SCROOGE” REID WILL BE ENORMOUS

Yep! It’s pretty much official now…The Chain from down below for Harry “Scrooge” Reid,  Majority Leader of the Senate, will be ENORMOUS! There are even rumors that there is excavation going on deeper down for a special Hot chamber to handle it all.chain

Harry Reid, Obama, Pelosi,(Pelosio with the long nose), and their dastardly allies in Congress sure do act like old Ebenezer Scrooge shouting “Bah Humbug!” anytime someone points out that Obamacare is probably the absolute worst legislation in decades. Scrooge as you may know was the character who loved money and power more than people in Charles Dickens’ “A Christmes Carol”.

And Dastardly they are, Reid, Pelosi, and Obama, working with hast secretly behind closed doors and coming up with millions out of nowhere with which to bribe Senators who are “For Sale” to vote for a bill that exceeds two thousand pages and creates a pandemonium of bureaucracies.

There are two Horror stories within the looming Obamacare healthcare disaster, cost factors and health treatment factors.

The new programs being proposed in Congress will increase our health insurance premiums for the typical family by more than $1,200 a year and roughly double healthcare spending in the next decade from approximately $2.2 trillion, or 16.2 percent of the estimated GDP in 2009 to over $4.3 trillion, or 20.3 percent of the estimated GDP by 2019,  just ten years from now.

But there may not be any GDP or health insurance programs by then because the United States will be in default, unable to pay back the money it has borrowed; not unlike a lot of Americans who charged too much on their credit cards or took out mortgage loans they could not afford.

Putting it another way, the United States of America cannot afford a healthcare “reform” in its present form and cannot afford a “Cap-and-Trade” bill being proposed that would tax all energy usage. It is impossible to add people to Medicare at the same time it is approaching insolvency… And add to that making energy more expensive, well that will make manufacturers move to places where it is affordable; Places like China where they are opening a new coal-fired plant every ten days to generate electricity.

Terence P. Jeffrey of Cybercast News Service put it quite accurately and quite bluntly in early December when he wrote that Obama will bankrupt America. Citing figures developed by former U.S. Comptroller General David Walker, Jeffrey reported that the total value of the federal government’s ‘unfunded liabilities’ stood at $56.4 trillion. The nation’s annual GDP is about $14 trillion and we are in the hole by a factor of 4.

Jeffrey noted that, “In 2008, President Bush’s last year in office, the federal government spent $2.983 trillion. Under Obama’s plan, according to the Congressional Budget Office, annual federal spending will climb to $4,982 trillion by 2019.” Over the next decade “Obama’s plan would increase the national debt by a total of $7.137 trillion, running deficits averaging $713.7 billion per year.”

If this is not enough… checkout the Horror of Obamacare as a health treatment program. Americans will be in absolute bondage to the proposed healthcare system that Harry Reid is trying to pass. For older people, it is a virtual death sentence in the event one becomes ill and, for most older people, that is a dead certainty, no pun intended…

Here’s a snapshot,  A government committee would decide what treatments you would receive. Healthcare would be provided to all non-U.S. citizens, illegal or otherwise. A National ID Health card will be issued and government will have real-time access to your financial records. No company could sue the government for price-fixing. There would be no “judicial review” against a government monopoly. An employer must enroll employees into the public option plan and must pay for healthcare for part-time employees and their families! Any individual who doesn’t have an acceptable healthcare plan according to the government will be taxed 2.5% of their income. This kind of tyranny goes on for two thousand or more pages. It is worse than we can ever imagine.

And Ebenezer…er…Harry Reid, doesn’t care. Neither does Nancy Pelosi and, since it is one of his key legislative initiatives, neither does President”Obamacare” Obama.

Reid, Obama, Pelosi and their allies in Congress pursue an agenda that ignores reality. Most Americans could afford health care insurance if they had jobs. Most businesses could afford to give their employees health care insurance if the economy were in better shape. Most Americans could avoid eviction or foreclosure if they got a tax rebate for all the tax money they paid over the last year or two or three. That would have been a much better economic stimulus.

Reid, Obama, Pelosi and their dastardly allies in Congress have robbed the American people of hope and holiday cheer at Christmas time.

The only thing they are giving the American people this year is a big “bah, humbug.” Yes, The Chain for Harry “Scrooge” Reid, Pelosi and allies will be ENORMOUS!!!

And those dastardly allies in Congress, those men/women – regardless of party affiliation - who have been bought and paid for with favors for their home states, We hope they enjoy living the rest of their lives knowing that they were For Sale. No matter the amount received, they personally are Cheap. What a shame that we have so few elected officials with Principle and Character. It is truly time to throw the bums out and elect people who are not power and favor hungry but are Americans who actually want to serve their country and do what is best for it.

CLIMATE HOAX EXPLAINED IN LAYMAN’S TERMS

By Larrey Anderson
It is fascinating to watch the mainstream media in America duck (and/or make excuses for) the greatest scam in modern history: Global Warming Hoax, the “science” behind man-made global warming.confused4 Even more entertaining, and far more enlightening, is to follow the analyses by the experts in computer programming of the recently disclosed methods used by the Climate Research Unit (CRU) from the University of East Anglia.

Most commentators in the media have been talking about the “REM” statements in the purloined e-mails and computer codes from the CRU [i]. True believers in anthropogenic global warming (AGW), especially those in the mainstream and “scientific” media, are pooh-poohing such words as “tricks” or “hide the decline” as interoffice slang that had no real impact on how the science was conducted.

But the real action (and the evidence for chicanery) is in the computer code obtained from the CRU. Our own computer guru Marc Sheppard, writing for American Thinker, was one of the first to offer an accurate diagnosis of this fraudulent method of computer programming. Analyzing the code, as Marc has indicated in his work, is a complex business. As he pleads in one article, “please bear with me while I get a tad techie on you.”

For the layman reader, here explained in a simple manner is what went on in the construction of one piece of the controversial programming.

A bit of background: The cornerstone of the evidence for global warming presented by Al Gore and the AGW crowd was a notorious graph that became known as “the hockey stick graph.” The graph is based on computer models that supposedly prove our planet has heated exponentially in the last half-century due to increasing amounts of man-made CO2 released into the atmosphere. Proponents further claim (and the computer models purport to show) that temperatures will continue to increase exponentially. The implication is that unless we drastically curtail human output of CO2, the “escalation” in temperature is going to get even worse even faster.

Turns out that these claims are absolutely false, and the computer models have been rigged.

Here is one version of the famous “hockey stick” graph:

hockey-11

Now that is scary [ii]! According to the now-debunked myth, global temperatures started going through the roof about sixty years ago. They will to continue to rise and bring unimaginable disaster. Except they haven’t, and they probably won’t.

Now to the CRU code that maintains these fictional monstrosities. Pay particular attention to the black line at the far right of the “hockey stick” in Graph 1. The black line starts at about 1900. (This is the same period of time addressed by the code we will examine.) The black line looks something like this very simplified version:

hockey-2

The x-axis (horizontal) shows time. The y-axis (vertical) shows temperature. In the last few decades, the temperature, according to AGW enthusiasts, has been climbing off the charts.

Marc Sheppard discovered and showed us this bit of programming taken from the CRU documents:

yrloc=[1400,findgen(19)*5.+1904]

valadj=[0.,0.,0.,0.,0.,-0.1,-0.25,-0.3,0.,-0.1,0.3,0.8,1.2,1.7,2.5,2.6,2.6,2.6,2.6,2.6]*0.75 ; fudge factor

The long string of bold numbers in the second set of brackets is the “fudge factor” applied (supposedly) to the raw data [iii]. This string of numbers “adjusts” the raw data from 1904 to 1994 in five-year increments. Here is what these nineteen numbers roughly look like on a simple graph (each bar below represents a number in bold above):

hockey-3

I have left a space between the bars that represent each number so the reader can compare the temperature line to the numbers from the program. Time is once again indicated by the x-axis (horizontal). Temperature is portrayed on the y-axis (vertical).

The numbers in the code indicate a degree of cheating that is actually much larger than I was able to show with the bars in Graph 3 [iv].

We can now prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the hockey stick is an absolute ruse. The hockey stick graph cannot possibly be based on the actual data. (…Wherever and whatever that data might have been, that is. The CRU has admitted destroying the raw data.)

Even if the numbers in the program were not added to the aggregate temperatures (of each preceding period [v]), the numbers in the code plot like this:

hockey-4

Graph 4 this still looks an awful lot like the “hockey stick.” In short, no matter how you read the code, it was designed to create a phony outcome.

But don’t take my word for it. Computer experts everywhere are all over this particular con game, and many other deceptions, that came out of the CRU files.

Many years ago, I was an instructor in logic at the university level. Some of my best students were young people who planned on entering the new, exciting, rapidly expanding, and lucrative fields of computer science and computer programming.

A solid grasp of logic was, and still is, a great way to start an education in the computer sciences — since computer programs are grounded in the basic rules and the syntax (sometimes slightly adjusted) of Boolean logic.

Computer programmers are often referred to as “nerds.” In fact, they are meticulous; they have to be. Their programs don’t work if they’re lazy, or skips a step, or ignores the rules of logic and syntax that make computers do the job they are supposed to do. This is why competent computer programmers can spot a phony and a cheater from a mile away.

Writing the beautiful and logical structure of a computer code is almost like writing music. It is very easy for a skilled computer programmer to detect code that is “out of tune.” Computer nerds are literally shouting about the audacity of the obviously contrived bit of code we have just examined. They are screaming in Germany, in America, and in lots of other places. Read the comments to these postings — there are some good ones. (There are also efforts by true believers to justify the code. Try following the logic of the post in that last link.)

The bottom line is that if this kind of code were to be used by, say, an insurance actuary — or by someone writing banking software or for tracking the stock market — the programmer would immediately be fired…and probably face criminal prosecution.

The truth about the hockey stick hoax is slowly leaking out. New Zealand climate scientists released a similar doctored graph (for temperatures in New Zealand) that looked like this:

hockey-5

The scientists in New Zealand didn’t destroy the raw data. (Oops.) The raw temperature data from New Zealand, when fed into a computer without a “fudge factor,” looks like this:

hockey-6

In short, New Zealand has not heated up in the last 150 years. Not a bit. Zealous scientists promoting AGW (not the actual weather) caused the “warming” in New Zealand. (Notice how closely the doctored Graph 5 from New Zealand resembles doctored Graph 1 and the code from the CRU we have examined.)

Any computer programmer worth his or her salt will tell you, “Garbage in, garbage out.” The garbage in the AGW debate turns out to be the scientists who are writing fraudulent computer codes. Time to take out the trash.

[i] REM statements are little notes made “in the margins” of the actual code.

[ii] Notice the title “Reconstructed Temperature.” As we will see, “reconstructed temperature” turns out to be quite the litotes for AGW proponents.

[iii] The CRU has admitted to destroying most of the raw data. Those digging into the CRU documents are still trying to figure out which data was used for what programs. Sometimes this is clear in the files and sometimes it is not.

[iv] The +2.6 “fudge factor” in the 1980s is a magnitude 26 times greater than the -0.1 decrease in the 1920s — but I do not have enough room to show the actual proportions of bars to the numbers in the space allotted.

[v] For example, I cannot tell if the second +2.6 is added to the previously adjusted +2.6 or if each is an individual adjustment to the “raw data” and not cumulative. Since the temperature of the hockey stick increases exponentially, I assume that the effect of the program is cumulative — i.e., Graph 3, not Graph 4, more closely represents the effect of the program on the raw data. Even if I am wrong, the code still creates a nonexistent (or grossly inaccurate) increase in actual and predicted temperatures. I would welcome clarification on this point from someone more familiar with the code than I am. See Lord Monckton’s discussion of the code here.
